Work Activity Planned for Saturday, February 8, 2014 (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)

Work to be done: Update the Dell Chassis firmware and OS; and perform switch software upgrades to alleviate two current issues that we are experiencing.

Customer Impact: Customers should not experience any outage as the work is performed.

Duration: Up to 12 hours

 Work Activity Planned for Sunday, February 9, 2014 (5:00 AM to 7:00 AM)

Work to be done: Reboot the IQ Server to clear phantom calls in the queue.

Customer Impact: The customer’s “calls in queue” will be correct after the reboot.

Work to be done: Update IOS on switches in the following offices. Locations affected in Cheyenne include old Qwest Bldg. (College America), State Labs, Bishop, JFRC, Hobbs (Boards of Medicine and Nursing), Woodson, Wyott, Motor Pool, US Bank, Hansen, 700 West 21st, Rex Warehouse, Unicover, South East Tourism, and Yellowtail (PEPLS and WDC) offices, as well as the Casper West Midwest/North David/Center St., Casper Werner Court, Casper Oil & Gas, Sheridan Rockwell, Sheridan DOC, Powell Combined Office Space, Worland Boy’s School, Douglas LEA, and the Gillette Combined Office Space.

Customer Impact: There will be limited to no network connectivity during this maintenance window in all the above noted facilities. This includes computers, servers, phones, wireless, video, Honeywell, Johnson Control, EBI, HVAC, UPSs, and any other network devices. Estimated downtime is 5 minutes per switch stack.

 Work Activity Planned for Monday February 10, 2014 (5:00 PM to 6:00 PM)

Work to be done: Replace current switch with POE switch at the Cheyenne Motor Pool on 19th Street.

Customer Impact: Devices connected will have no network connectivity while the switch is being replaced. This will affect all network devices in the Motor Pool, but will not affect the Wyott Bldg. or Central Mail connectivity.

Duration: Approximately 1 hour

Work to be done: Migrate Dept. of Workforce Services (DWS) off of rtr-0220 onto 7K’s – VRF is already created.

Customer Impact: The customer will be down during the migration. Post window local and MoE users will have significantly increased bandwidth with the removal of the current 100 Mbps bottleneck.

Duration: 4 hours

 Recurring Weekly Routine Maintenance Work Activity

Work to be done: IPL (Initial Program Load) expected duration of 15 minutes or less during the Tuesday 4:00 AM to 6:00 AM work window.

Customer Impact: Affects Mainframe customers during IPL and anyone who needs Mainframe access during this time as the Mainframe will not be available.

Duration: 15-30 minutes
