SUN Bucks email update for October 2, 2026.

Order Replacement Cards by October 9

Replacement cards can be ordered up to 3 weeks before benefits expire. Cards ordered less than 3 weeks before benefits expire will not arrive in time to use benefits. For clients with benefits expiring on November 1 (the majority of clients), the last day to order replacement cards is Friday, October 9.

To check when your child’s benefits expire:

• Call 1-877-290-9401
• Enter the card number
• After hearing the balance, press 2
• Select 4 for information on when the benefit was made available.
• Benefits expire after 121 days, or about 4 months, from the date the benefit was made available.

Replacement cards for benefits expiring at a later date can still be ordered after October 9, but no more than 3 weeks before benefits expire.

Call Center Closing October 31

The Call Center will close for the summer season on October 31. The last day the call center will be open is Friday, October 30.

Beginning October 31, callers to the SUN Bucks line will hear a recorded message with program information and then be asked to leave a voicemail. Voicemails and emails to the SUN Bucks program will be checked daily. Thank you to our wonderful call center staff, Andrew and Kaitlin, for outstanding support to families this summer!

Save Your Card!

Remember to hold onto your SUN Bucks card after you use it. If the program is approved again, benefits may be issued on the same card. If you have already disposed of or lost your SUN Bucks card, don’t worry - we will reissue cards as needed if the program is approved again.
