SUN Bucks email update for June 5, 2026

POM Approved!
The Plan for Operations and Management (POM) is a required federal report that covers program policies and procedures in great detail; you can think of it as an expanded version of the Preliminary Implementation Plan. The POM must be approved by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Nutrition Services prior to issuing benefits. Wyoming submitted an updated POM to the USDA on Wednesday, May 6th. We received final federal approval to move forward with program implementation on Wednesday, June 3rd! This allows us to finalize details and dates - stay tuned for more information next week!
Remember!
MOST children will be automatically enrolled in SUN Bucks through streamline certification and direct certification. If your child is not automatically enrolled but otherwise meets the eligibility criteria, you should submit an application for them when applications open.
