SUN Bucks email update for May 8, 2026.

This week was a planning week! The Department of Family Services (DFS) submitted two key plans for approval.
Preliminary Implementation Plan
DFS submitted the SUN Bucks Preliminary Implementation Plan to the Governor’s Office on Monday, May 4.
This report is required by Executive Order 2026-02. Once approved by the Governor’s Office, DFS will post the SUN Bucks Preliminary Implementation Plan to the SUN Bucks web page.
Plan for Operations and Management
The Plan for Operations and Management (POM) is a required federal report that covers program policies and procedures in great detail; you can think of it as an expanded version of the Preliminary Implementation Plan. The POM must be approved by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Federal Nutrition Services prior to issuing benefits.
Wyoming submitted an updated POM to the USDA on Wednesday, May 6. We expect several weeks of review prior to final approval.
