“Stay Air Aware”: Wyoming DEQ Celebrates Air Quality Awareness Week May 5–9

Statewide, Wyo. – The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ) – Air Quality Division (AQD) is joining the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and agencies nationwide to celebrate Air Quality Awareness Week, May 5–9, 2025.
This year’s theme is “Stay Air Aware,” encouraging Wyoming residents to use available resources to stay informed about air quality conditions around the Cowboy State and help preserve our State’s clean air.
Members of the public can view near real-time air quality conditions and cameras at air quality monitoring sites around Wyoming by visiting https://www.wyvisnet.com. WyVisNet contains an abundance of resources and information about Wyoming’s air quality. Another resource during wildfire season is https://fire.airnow.gov, which provides a national map of ongoing fire and smoke impacts.
Wyomingites can also follow WDEQ on social media throughout the week as we share information on the daily topics and about the importance of clean air in Wyoming. WDEQ will highlight the following topics:
Monday, May 5 – Wildland Fires and Smoke
Tuesday, May 6 – Asthma and Your Health (World Asthma Day)
Wednesday, May 7 – Indoor Air Quality
Thursday, May 8 – Air, Animals and Plants
Friday, May 9 – Make Your Impact
