Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Air Quality PUBLIC NOTICE: In accordance with Chapter 6, Section 2(m) of the Wyoming Air Quality Standards and Regulations, notice is hereby given that the State of Wyoming, Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Air Quality, proposes to approve a request by Tolsa Wyoming Bentonite Corporation to recognize that construction of the hot gas generator (HGG) to replace the coal fired stoker under Air Quality Permit P0024977 for the Bucknum Bentonite Plant never commenced. The facility will continue to comply with the lb/MMBtu limits established in MD-8794A2 for the operation of one (1) 30 MMBtu/hr rotary dryer (CKD001) with a coal-fired stoker to produce a maximum 175,000 tons per year of bentonite product at the Bucknum Bentonite Plant. The Bucknum Bentonite Plant is located at 12050 Bucknum Road #3 (County Road 125), Casper in Natrona County, WY.
For the duration of the public comment period, the permit application, the agency’s analysis, and the public notice are available for public inspection online at https://openair.wyo.gov, utilizing facility ID F020851 and permit number P0031819 under permits. This material may also be viewed online, at the above URL, utilizing a public computer at the Natrona County Library, Casper, Wyoming. Additionally, for the duration of the public comment period a copy of this public notice is available for public inspection at the Natrona County Clerk’s Office, Casper, Wyoming.
