In accordance with W.S. 9-23-104, the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, Solid & Hazardous Waste Division, Landfill Remediation Program (LRP), hereby provides notice that it will initiate professional services consultant selection for the Newcastle #1 Landfill Remediation Project, located in Weston County, Wyoming. The project will involve investigation of the nature and extent of contamination, assessment of corrective measures/remedial options, design of remedies, administration of construction contracts, operation and maintenance of remedies, and monitoring of the site and remedies. The LRP will send out a request for statements of interest on approximately May 4, 2022, to all firms on the LRP list of prequalified consultants. Only prequalified consultants will be allowed to submit statements of interest. Selection procedures will be in accordance with W.S. 9-23-101 through 9-23-107.
Prequalification for professional engineering services is ongoing for this and other future LRP projects. LRP projects address contamination caused by landfills. In general, services for LRP projects involve investigation of sites, design of remedial alternatives, construction management, operation and maintenance, and monitoring. On-site personnel must have 40-hour HAZWOPER training with current 8-hour refresher course. Minimum insurance includes $1 million errors & omissions and $2 million general liability. To be considered for prequalification, a firm must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ). The submittal package and instructions can be found at https://deq.wyoming.gov/shwd/landfill-remediation-program/. SOQs can be submitted at any time for inclusion on the prequalified list but must be submitted by April 27, 2022, in order to be considered for the Newcastle #1 Landfill Remediation Project.
