SRF Public Meeting Notice: Cheyenne BOPU Crystal Bypass Project

 Revised Notice of Public Meeting

 The City of Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities (BOPU), Cheyenne Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 10:00 AM, local time, on January 28, 2022, in the Engineering Conference Room (2nd Floor) at 2416 Snyder Avenue, Cheyenne, WY 82001.  The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the Crystal Bypass Pipeline Project.  The project will include the construction of a new 20-inch, 10,471-foot raw water transmission pipeline, which will allow raw water conveyance to Sherard Water Treatment Plant when Crystal Reservoir is unavailable.

At the meeting, BOPU will present the preliminary design of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost of the improvements and the plan for funding the improvements.  A preliminary plan of improvements, cost estimates, and the funding plan can also be reviewed at 2416 Snyder Avenue, Cheyenne, WY 82001.  Contact is Frank Strong and can be reached at 307-637-6416.

Based on current cost estimates, BOPU plans to borrow one million, two hundred fifty-four thousand dollars ($1,254,000) from the Wyoming Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments.  Water rates will not be increased to repay the loan.  Loan terms will be 2.5% interest rate for a twenty-year term with an annual payment of eighty thousand, four hundred forty-one dollars ($80,441).
