Public Notice: LQD Advisory Board Meeting - December 9, 2021

The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Land Quality Division (LQD), will hold an Advisory Board (AB) Meeting beginning at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, December 9, 2021.  The meeting will be held via conference call.  The major item of discussion will be a presentation of revisions to: Coal Chapters 10, Coal Exploration, and 13, Surface Coal Mining Permit Revisions; and Noncoal Chapters 7, Noncoal Mine Permit or Research and Development Testing License Revisions, and 9, Permit Application Requirements for Small Mining Operations. The proposed revisions were drafted in response to comments from the Attorney General’s office which were generated during their review for statutory authority. The LQD will be seeking the AB’s advice on whether the proposed rules should proceed to formal rulemaking.

Comments on the proposed rules may be sent to Land Quality Division, 200 W. 17th Street, Suite 10, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82002, or by using the electronic comment portal at https://lq.wyomingdeq.commentinput.com/comment/search. Comments must be received by the close of business on December 8, 2021.
