Public Notice: Application to Amend Source Material License SUA 1598 - Lost Creek ISR, LLC

Lost Creek ISR, LLC, of 907 N. Poplar St., Suite 150, Casper, WY 82601, has applied for an amendment to Source Material License SUA 1598 from the Land Quality Division of the Department of Environmental Quality of the State of Wyoming to mine additional areas within the existing Lost Creek Project and to expand mining into the contiguous LC East Project. The existing Lost Creek license mine area is in all or portions of Sections 16-20 and 29-31 of T25N, R92W and Sections 13, 24 and 25 of T25N, R93W. The LC East area is in all or portions of Sections 1-3, 10-12, 14, 15, 20-23 and 27- 29 of T25N, R92W. The existing Lost Creek Mine and LC East areas are within the USGS Battle Spring, Osborne Well, Antelope Reservoir and Sooner Reservoir 7.5' Topographic Quadrangle Maps, Sweetwater County, Wyoming. The existing Lost Creek Mine processing plant is in the northeastern corner of the Great Divide Basin approximately 17 miles southwest of the town of Bairoil, Wyoming. The proposed future use of the affected land, after mining, is unrestricted use for livestock grazing and wildlife.

The Department of Environmental Quality has issued an initial draft decision to approve the license amendment application. Information regarding this initial draft decision and the application may be reviewed in the office of the Land Quality Division of the Department of Environmental Quality in Cheyenne or the Sweetwater County Clerk's Office in Green River, Wyoming. Written comments to the proposed license amendment must be received by the Administrator of the Land Quality Division of the Department of Environmental Quality, 200 West 17th Street, Suite 10, Cheyenne, WY 82002, before the close of business, March 1, 2021. If a written comment from an aggrieved party specifically requests a public hearing before the Department of Environmental Quality, a public hearing shall be held. The Department of Environmental Quality shall publish notice of the time, date and location of the hearing in a newspaper of statewide or general circulation or on the Department of Environmental Quality's web site before the public hearing. The Wyoming Oil and Gas Commission will be mailed a copy of the application mine plan map within 5 days after first publication.
