Public Notice: Town of Dixon – DWSRF Application – Water Supply and Distribution System Improvements Project

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

The Town of Dixon, Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 6:30 pm, Local Time, on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, in the Dixon Town Hall, located at 301 Cottonwood Street, Dixon, Wyoming. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and commend on the following project:

Water Supply and Distribution System Improvements Project

This project will complete several improvements to the Town’s water supply and distribution system which will enhance water quality and system pressures. The project will include but not be limited to constructing an isolated transmission line from the water treatment plant to the existing water storage tank and removing dead ends within the distribution system by constructing additional distribution piping.

At the meeting, the Town of Dixon will present the preliminary design of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost of the improvements and the plan for funding the improvements. A preliminary plan of improvements, cost estimates, and the funding plan can also be reviewed at the Dixon Town Hall, 301 Cottonwood Street, Dixon, Wyoming. Based on current cost estimates, the Town of Dixon plans to borrow $675,000 from the Wyoming Drinking Water State Revolving Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. The loan will be paid by available Carbon County Specific Purpose Tax and water sales. Loan terms will be 2.5% interest rate at 30 years.
