Notice of Public Meeting

The City of Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities, Cheyenne Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 10:00 AM, local time, on February 3, 2020, in the Operations & Maintenance Conference Room at 2406 Snyder Avenue, Cheyenne, WY 82001. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the North City Zone Improvements Project. The project will include the construction of a new three-million-gallon elevated storage tank with related piping to replace the existing Round Top Tank, Buffalo Ridge Tank, and the Buffalo Ridge Pump Station. EPA has mandated that the Round Top Tank be removed from service by 2024.

At the meeting, the Board of Public Utilities will present the preliminary design of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost of the improvements and the plan for funding the improvements. Based on current cost estimates, the Board of Public Utilities plans to borrow three million, nine hundred sixty thousand dollars ($3,960,000) from the Wyoming Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. Water rates will not be increased to repay the loan. Loan terms will be 2.5% interest rate for a twenty-year term with an annual payment of two hundred fifty-four thousand, twenty-three dollars ($254,023).
