The City of Gillette, Wyoming will conduct a public meeting on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at City Hall, 2nd Floor Community Room, located at 201 East 5th Street, Gillette, WY 82716. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the following project(s):

The City of Gillette Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) Headworks Improvement Project

The City of Gillette intends to submit an application for a Wyoming Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan to replace our aged and deteriorating Wastewater Treatment Facilities Headworks. At the meeting, the City of Gillette will present the preliminary plan for the proposed project and discuss the estimated costs of the improvements, as well as the plan for funding the improvements. A preliminary plan of improvements, cost estimates, and the funding plan can also be reviewed at the City of Gillette Engineering Department, 201 East 5th Street, or by contacting City Engineer Joe Schoen at (307) 686-5360.

Based on current cost estimates, the City of Gillette plans to borrow $3,000,000 from the Wyoming Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. Current wastewater user fees and optional 1% sales tax will repay the loan, and do not require an increase in rates at this time, if the loan is approved. Loan terms will be 2.5% interest rate and 20 years.

Those wishing to comment on this project are encouraged to attend this public meeting. Citizens are also welcome to submit written comments to:
