Water and Waste Advisory Board Meeting

 

The Wyoming Water and Waste Advisory Board (WWAB) will meet on June 25, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. in the main conference room at the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission Building, 2211 King Boulevard in Casper, Wyoming. The public is invited to attend and comment on proposed rules presented to the WWAB for its consideration. All written and oral comments received beginning on May 17, 2018 and prior to the adjournment of the June 25, 2018 WWAB meeting will be considered. Solid and Hazardous Waste Division and Water Quality Division request submittal of written and electronic comments by 5:00 p.m. (MST) on June 17, 2018 to ensure inclusion in the analysis of comments presentations to the WWAB.

Solid and Hazardous Waste Division (SHWD) - Beginning at 9:00 a.m. the WWAB will consider proposed revisions to the Solid Waste Rules and Regulations. SHWD proposes to create a new chapter, Chapter 18, Disposal of Coal Combustion Residuals in Landfills and Surface Impoundments and proposes revise Chapter 3, Industrial Landfill Regulations. The proposal for Chapter 18 includes incorporation by reference of 40 CFR Part 257, Subpart D; Hazardous and Solid Waste Management System: Disposal of Coal Combustion Residuals from Electric Utilities. Proposed revisions to Chapter 3 include an exclusion of coal combustion residuals from this chapter. At the conclusion of the presentation, SHWD will request that the WWAB consider the proposed revisions and make a recommendation of adoption to the Environmental Quality Council.
