Notice of Public Meeting - Land Quality Advisory Board 3/21/2019

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

DEQ LAND QUALITY DIVISION

The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Land Quality Division (LQD), will hold an Advisory Board (AB) Meeting beginning at 10:00 a.m. (MST), on March 21, 2019 in the Casper DEQ Field Office Conference Room, 152 N. Durbin St., Suite 100, Casper, Wyoming. The major item of discussion will be proposed revisions to the LQD’s Noncoal Chapter 10 (Limited Mining Operations for Fifteen Acres or Less of Affected Land).  The proposed revisions were drafted in response to pending statutory changes to the Limited Mining Operations legislation contained in Wyoming Statute § 35-11-401(e).

The LQD will request that the AB vote to recommend that the proposed revisions to Noncoal Chapter 10 proceed to the Environmental Quality Council for formal rulemaking. Proposed rule language and further information regarding the meeting will be made available on the LQD’s webpage at http://deq.wyoming.gov/lqd/resources/proposed-rules-regs on Tuesday, February 26, 2019.  Interested parties are encouraged to attend the March 21st meeting and provide comments on the proposed rules in person or comments may be provided via the DEQ’s online public comment system at http://lq.wyomingdeq.commentinput.com. Written comments on the proposed rules may also be submitted prior to the meeting to the following address:
