Underground Injection Control Permit

The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ) Underground Injection Control (UIC) Program regulates certain discharges of pollutants into groundwaters of the state. Operators of these discharges are required to receive coverage under a UIC permit. The purpose of this notice is to inform the public that the UIC Program is proposing the issuance of a new permit (#18-205) for NGL Water Solutions, LLC, Injection wells Boulder 7-21 WDW4, Boulder 8-21 WDW5, Boulder 1-21 WDW6, and Boulder 13-22 WDW 7. The applicant proposes to inject non-hazardous wastes, primarily associated with the exploration, development, or production of crude oil or natural gas. The permit applicant is NGL Water Solutions, LLC, 3773 Cherry Creek North Drive, Suite 1000, Denver, CO 80209. The facility is located in Section 21 and Section 22, Township 31 North, Range 108 West, of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Sublette County, WY.

The public comment period begins on February 22, 2019 and ends March 25, 2019. WDEQ has prepared a supplemental on-line public notice that is available at the WDEQ’s website (http://deq.wyoming.gov/). The website provides electronic access to a copy of the proposed permit. During the thirty (30) day public comment period, any interested person may submit in writing, comments on the draft permit and may request that a public hearing be held. Requests for a public hearing should indicate the name and full mailing address of the individual requesting a hearing, the interest that individual has in the project, and the grounds for holding a public hearing. All written comments and requests received prior to 5:00 P.M., March 25, 2019 in the Cheyenne office will be considered. Comments submitted by email will not be considered.
