FY19 Request for Proposals

Clean Water Act Section 319 Grant
Clean Water Act Section 205(j) Grant

Final Proposals Due September 14, 2018

The Nonpoint Source Program of the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, Water Quality Division is pleased to announce that it is now accepting proposals for projects to be awarded under Sections 319 and 205(j) of the Clean Water Act.   Both Section 319 and 205(j) grants support locally-led, voluntary projects that will address nonpoint sources of pollution to Wyoming’ surface and ground water.  Section 319 grant funds are primarily directed towards “on-the-ground” watershed restoration or protection projects. Section 205(j) grant funds are available to local planning agencies (cities, towns, counties, and conservation districts) for projects that will complete water quality management planning activities including, but not limited to, monitoring, assessment, and watershed planning.

Detailed information on grant requirements, available funding, eligibility, and proposal guidelines as well as downloadable copies of required application forms are available on the Nonpoint Source Program Grant Resources Website: http://deq.wyoming.gov/wqd/non-point-source/resources/grant-resources/.   Please note that application forms and guidance material have been revised for this year’s Request for Proposals; please be sure to access and complete the correct forms.  Proposals submitted on past years’ application forms will not be accepted.

Please note that the Nonpoint Source Program will host a grants application training webinar on July 16 from 10:00 to 11:30 am.  The webinar will provide 1) an overview of the grants, proposal forms, guidance and application process, 2) information on how to develop a competitive proposal, and 3) an opportunity to ask questions about submitting a proposal.  Interested participants can access the webinar using the following link: meet.google.com/ftg-exkk-qgj. Participants can listen using their computer audio or by phoning in to a conference line at 1-747-202-2907 and entering the following PIN: 547564#.  The webinar will be limited to the first 50 participants.

Please contact Jennifer Zygmunt, Nonpoint Source Program Coordinator, with any questions: 307-777-6080 or jennifer.zygmunt@wyo.gov.  Both Section 319 and 205(j) grants are made available to the State of Wyoming through the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
