Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality

The  Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), the Office of State Lands and Investments (OSLI), and the Wyoming Water Development Office (WDO) will hold a public meeting to discuss the draft fiscal year 2019 Intended Use Plans for the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) and the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF).  The meeting is scheduled for Friday May 25, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Wyoming DEQ Main Office, 200 W 17th, Second Floor, Room 210, Cheyenne, Wyoming.  The Intended Use Plans identify the intended uses of the funds available through the CWSRF and DWSRF programs during the upcoming fiscal year.  The purpose of the public meeting is to solicit public comments prior to the finalization of the Intended Use Plans.

The draft plans contain ranked lists of publicly owned drinking water, wastewater, and non-point source water pollution control projects.  The CWSRF and DWSRF programs provide low interest loans for the construction of these types of projects.  The inclusion of projects in the plans is important because it makes these projects eligible to apply for DWSRF or CWSRF funding.  Projects that do not appear on these plans are not eligible to apply for loans from these programs.  Public entities with projects that may qualify are encouraged to notify DEQ or WDO.  The draft plans rank potential projects based upon several factors.  These include addressing public health issues, resolving compliance issues, and correcting system deficiencies.

Copies of the draft Intended Use Plans may be obtained from the contacts listed below.  In accordance with the Americans With Disabilities Act, special assistance or alternate formats will be made available upon request for individuals with disabilities.  You may also view the draft Intended Use Plans on the OSLI website at http://lands.wyo.gov/grantsloans, or on the DEQ website at http://deq.wyoming.gov/wqd/state-revolving-loan-fund/resources/1-srf-forms-and-guidance/.

DEQ, OSLI, and WDO encourage the public, community representatives, engineering firms, and special interest groups to attend the public meeting and/or review the draft plans.  It is important to receive public comments concerning the draft plans. You may submit written comments to any of the contacts listed below by May 25, 2018, or attend the meeting and submit comments in person on May 25, 2018.
