Public Notice – City of Sundance – DWSRF Application – Sundance West Water Storage Project


The City of Sundance in Sundance, Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 7:30 pm, local time, on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, in the Sundance City Council Chambers, 213 E. Main Street, Sundance, WY. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the following project: Sundance West Water Storage Project. The City needs to replace two existing tanks that are 20-year-old oil field tanks that are failing with one larger tank. 

At the meeting, the City of Sundance will present the preliminary design of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost of the improvements and the plan for funding the improvements. A preliminary plan of improvements, cost estimates, and the funding plan can also be reviewed at City Hall, 213 E. Main Street in Sundance, WY. Contact Mac Erickson 307-283-3451. 

Based on current cost estimates, the City of Sundance plans to borrow $400,524.00 from the Wyoming State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. The total estimated cost of the project is $ 1,079,710.00 with a grant request for the balance from the Wyoming Water Development Commission for $679,186.00. Increased user fees will repay the loan. The average rate increase is estimated to be $1.65 per month per user and 1% Specific Purpose Tax Fund monies will be used to repay the loan. Loan terms will be 2.5% interest rate and 30 years.
