Water and Waste Advisory Board Meeting

 

The Wyoming Water and Waste Advisory Board (WWAB) will meet on March 29, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. . in the main conference room at the Casper office of the Department of Environmental Quality, 152 North Durbin Street, Suite 100, Casper, Wyoming. The public is invited to attend and comment on proposed rules presented to the WWAB for its consideration. All written and oral comments received beginning on February 12, 2018 and prior to the adjournment of the March 29, 2018 WWAB meeting will be considered. Written and electronic comments submitted by 5:00 p.m. on March 14, 2018, will be included in the analysis of comments presentation.

Solid and Hazardous Waste Division - Beginning at 9:00 a.m. the WWAB will consider requests for reimbursement to local governments regarding the solid waste landfill monitoring program pursuant to W.S. 35-11-521 for the Solid and Hazardous Waste Division (SHWD). Questions concerning the requests for reimbursement to local governments conducting solid waste landfill monitoring should be addressed to: Mike Jennings, 152 North Durbin Street, Suite 100, Casper WY, 82601, (307) 473-3486.

 

Following the solid waste landfill monitoring reimbursements, the WWAB will consider proposed revisions to Solid Waste Rules and Regulations Chapter 4, Construction and Demolition Landfill Regulations and Chapter 6, Transfer, Treatment and Storage Facility Regulations. The proposed changes include a reorganization of the rules and propose issuing operating permits for the operating life of facilities through closure. At the conclusion of the presentation, SHWD will request that the WWAB consider the proposed revisions and make recommendation of adoption to the Environmental Quality Council.  Individuals with questions concerning the proposed revisions may contact Bob Doctor at (307) 473-3468.
