Draft Permit - UIC # 17-388 - Buffalo Bill State Park

Draft Permit – UIC # 17-388 - The UIC Program is proposing to issue permit 17-388 for the Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites & Trails., owner of the Buffalo Bill State Park septic systems.  This permit proposes to authorize a maximum permitted injection rate of 5,810 gallons per day (gpd) and an average permitted injection rate of 3,486 gpd.  The waste consists of primary treated wastewater from two (2) RV dump stations, a shower house, and a fish cleaning station.  Discharge will be injected into the North Fork of Shoshone River Alluvial Aquifer via four (4) septic tank/leachfield systems.  Groundwater within the project area is classified as Class I by use according to Chapter 8 of the Wyoming Water Quality Rules and Regulations.  This classification is made because the groundwater in this formation is being withdrawn for domestic use at nearby points of withdrawal.

The permit applicant is the Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites & Trails, 2301 Central Ave., Cheyenne, WY.  This facility is located in Section 9, Township 52 North, Range 103 West and Section 14 and 15, Township 52 North, Range 104 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, Park County.  The public is invited to comment on this draft permit until February 28, 2018.
