Public Notice – Town of Greybull – CWSRF Application – Sewer Upgrades, Phase I Project

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

The Town of Greybull, Wyoming will conduct a public meeting at 7:00 pm, local time, or as the agenda allows, on February 12, 2018 as part of its regular Council meeting in the Greybull Council Chambers at 24 South 5th St, Greybull, WY. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the Sewer Upgrades, Phase I project. This project includes upgrading of 7,050’ of sewer mains on the east side of town, which will complete about 60% of the needed sewer main upgrades in town. These sewer main upgrades are required because the existing clay tile pipe in the project areas are deteriorating and allow groundwater infiltration into our system, reducing the effectiveness of our wastewater lagoon.

At the meeting, the Town of Greybull will present the preliminary design of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost of the improvements and the plan for funding the improvements. A preliminary plan of improvements, cost estimates, and the funding plan can also be reviewed at Town Hall, 24 South 5th St, Greybull, WY. Contact Paul Thur at 307-765-9431 for more information.

Based on current cost estimates, the Town of Greybull plans to borrow $250,000 from the Wyoming Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. Loan terms will be a 2.5% interest rate for 20 years. It is anticipated that the recent $6/month increase to the base sewer rates will be sufficient to cover the annual debt service requirement.

If you are unable to attend the public hearing, you may submit your comments in writing to Greybull Town Hall, 24 South 5th St, Greybull, WY 82426, or you can email your comments to Paul Thur at greybulladmin@wyonet.net. All comments must be received by 5:00 pm on Friday, February 9, 2018.
