Draft Permit – UIC # 17-221 – Antelope Truck Stop

Draft Permit – UIC # 17-221 - The UIC Program is proposing to renew a UIC permit (17-221) for Antelope Truck Stop.  This permit will authorize the continued injection of an average of 3,000 gallons per day (gpd) and a maximum of 4,800 gpd.  The waste consists of primary treated domestic sewage from a truck stop with public shower and toilet facilities, a maintenance building, and a restaurant.  Discharge will be injected into the Ogallala aquifer via two (2) existing septic systems.  Groundwater within the project area is classified as Class I by use according to Wyoming Water Quality Rules and Regulations, Chapter 8.  This classification is made because the groundwater in this formation is being withdrawn by two (2) public supply use and four (4) domestic use wells permitted through the Wyoming State Engineer’s Office.

The permit applicant is the Mr. Gurnam Singh, 4850 I-80 Service Road, Burns WY 82053.  This facility is located in the SW¼SW¼SE¼, Section 19, Township 14 North, Range 62 West, of the 6th Principal Meridian, Laramie County.  The public is invited to comment on this draft permit until February 8, 2018.
