PUBLIC NOTICE

The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ) Storage Tank Program (STP) is proposing remedial actions for a petroleum-impacted site in the town of Ranchester, Wyoming. The WDEQ/STP is authorized to remediate this site by Article 14 of the Wyoming Environmental Quality Act.

A Draft Final Remedial Action Plan, describing the project and proposed actions, is available for review at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library, 335 West Alger, Sheridan, Wyoming.   A copy is also available for review at the WDEQ office at 2100 West 5th Street, Sheridan, Wyoming.  These copies will be available for public review through February 28, 2018.

Proposed remedial methods include soil excavation and disposal, and installation of an air sparging and soil vapor extraction system.  Construction activity is scheduled to commence in the spring of 2018.  Operation of this system will continue until remediation is complete.  The remediation period is estimated to continue for one to six years.
