Public Notice – Town of Moorcroft – CWSRF Application – Sanitary Sewer Improvements

The Town of Moorcroft, Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 6:30 P.M., local time, on January 8, 2018, in the Moorcroft Town Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the following project. The 2018 Sanitary Sewer Improvements project will remove and replace approximately 1350 linear feet of existing 8 inch gravity sanitary sewer pipe with associated fittings and manhole structures located in the alleyway between Powder River Ave. and Cheyenne Ave. from Park St. to Weston St. The existing sewer line is clay tile pipe and has experienced problems with clogging due to root intrusion.  The cost of maintaining the line and the age and material of the line have made this area a priority for replacement.  At the meeting, the Town of Moorcroft will present the preliminary design of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost of the improvements and the plan for funding the improvements. A preliminary plan of improvements, cost estimates, and the funding plan can also be reviewed at Moorcroft Town Hall.  Contact Cheryl Schneider at 307-756-3526. Based on current cost estimates, the Town of Moorcroft plans to borrow $380,000.00 from the Wyoming Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. Sewer Investment Fees will repay the loan. User fees will not need to be increased to repay the loan. Loan terms will be 2.5% interest rate and 20 years. Written comments are also welcome. Send written comments to Steve Sproul, Mayor at P.O. Box 70 Moorcroft WY, 82721 by 5:00 P.M. on January 8, 2018
