Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality Notice of Proposed Storm Water Permits

The Wyoming Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (WYPDES) Storm Water Program regulates the discharge of pollutants in storm water runoff from regulated activities into surface waters of the state.  Operators of regulated activities are required to secure coverage under a WYPDES storm water discharge permit.  The permits contain conditions and limitations that will ensure that the state’s surface water quality standards are protected.  Prior to issuing permits, the WYPDES Program prepares a 30-day public notice to inform interested parties of proposed permits and offers an opportunity to provide written comments.

The purpose of this notification is to inform the public that the WYPDES Storm Water Program is proposing the reissuance of a new set of permits and has prepared a public notice that is available at the links below.  The public notice includes copies of currently proposed permits, relevant application material and clearly defines the deadline and process for providing written comments.  If you have any questions, please contact John Gorman, Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, Water Quality Division, 200 West 17th Street, Cheyenne, WY 82002, 307-777-5622, john.gorman@wyo.gov.
