Digital Learning Day

2021 Digital Learning Day - February 25 (Together we're better, Together we're Future Ready)

Digital Learning Day Resources

The Digital Learning Day website includes links for educators to share their classroom digital learning resources and to explore resources provided by others. In recognition of Digital Learning Day 2021, the WDE invites Wyoming educators to explore the resources available and consider posting some of their own. Among the resources available, there are digital learning guides provided by the U.S. Department of Education Office of Educational Technology.

Teacher Digital Learning Guide

The Teacher Digital Learning Guide provides support to teachers in four key areas:

  1. Access, Digital Citizenship & Safety, and Privacy & Security: Empowering students with the mindsets and skills needed to responsibly use devices and meaningfully, safely, and securely engage in digital learning.
  2. Personalize Learning for Students: Meeting individual students’ needs through EdTech supported personalized learning.
  3. Collaborate with Parents and Families to Support Students: Engaging parents as full partners in their child’s success and connect with students in a virtual, hybrid, or in-person learning environment.
  4. Teacher Professional Learning and Well-Being: Building pathways to continually learn and refine strategies for using technology to its fullest potential.

School Leader Digital Learning Guide

The School Leader Digital Learning Guide is designed to provide resources and recommendations for leaders in an array of circumstances, including:

  • Leaders with students and teachers who are experiencing digital learning in school facilities or remotely.
  • Leaders for whom digital learning presents transformative or incremental change for their students.
  • Leaders of a school, a school system, an education provider, or a function that supports digital learning.

Parent and Family Digital Learning Guide

The Parent and Family Digital Learning Guide is designed to help parents or caregivers understand important approaches for using technology in a way that focuses on the needs of the student. The guide provides resources and information to assist parents and caregivers working with their students, their students’ teachers, and school leaders to understand digital learning and prepare their students for success.
