TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR WEBINAR TO SUPPORT ACCESS FOR ELLs TESTING

This webinar will:

• Provide information to communicate with Test Coordinators and Administrators.
• Facilitate how to establish a local communication plan within your district to identify issues and troubleshoot if problems arise.
• Review when to support Test Administrators at their testing sites by training them to respond to technical issues and when/how to report them.

WIDA ACCESS FOR ELLs OVERVIEW WEBINAR

4-5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 

This webinar will provide an overview of ACCESS for ELLs for educators preparing to administer the assessment. It is ideal for new test administrators and should be used as a review for experienced test administrators and test coordinators. Time for Q&A is included. This is not a replacement for the online training course or the ACCESS for ELLs face-to-face workshop. Please preview the Login Information prior to the meeting.

WIDA ELD STANDARDS, 2020 EDITION: eSUMMIT RESOURCES AVAILABLE

Recordings and downloadable resources are now available for all three eSummit WIDA ELD Standards, 2020 Edition sessions: 

  • Introduction to the WIDA ELD Standards, 2020 Edition.
  • Understanding the New WIDA Key Language Uses – Inform, Narrate, Explain, and Argue.
  • Collaborative Planning for Content and Language Integration.

To access the session recordings, handouts, PowerPoint slides, and more, do the following:

  1. Log in to your WIDA Secure Portal account. 
  2. Click on the “WIDA eLearning Center” tile in the portal.
  3. From the eLearning Center Dashboard, click on the “WIDA eSummit” tile. 
  4. Click on the “ELD Standards 2020 (10/12-10/16)” link in the menu, navigate to the desired session and click on the yellow “Session Info” button below each offering.

WDE684 ERROR CORRECTION DEADLINE

WDE684 Errors in Districts Due Monday, November 9

Communication about WDE684 data errors was sent to districts last week. Error reports were created because information provided by districts was not accurate and must be corrected. This data collection is required by the US Department of Justice to identify and assess a student’s English Language Proficiency (ELP) in order to provide appropriate language assistance services.
