01-27-20 | WDE Assessment Updates | Volume 7, Issue 20
Cambium Learning has acquired AIR Assessments
Cambium Learning has acquired AIR Assessments and our vendor for WY-TOPP and WY-ALT is now Cambium Assessments. Although the name has changed, all contact numbers and information will remain the same; however, please be aware that some documentation will show the Cambium brand. This transition does not change the assessment or the processes for the assessments. This is primarily a name change.

ACT Building Test Coordinators
The WDE has received many questions about ACT assessment administration options. To help prepare schools, the WDE will collect and verify the dates and modes of testing selected by schools for this year’s ACT administration. This will serve two purposes: to verify school test date selections within the PANext system and to ensure schools and districts receive what they need for testing. Take a moment to fill out a brief survey.

The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) staff will conduct quality assurance visits during the 2020 ACCESS for ELLs and ALT-ACCESS test administration window. WDE staff look forward to visiting schools and meeting Test Coordinators, Test Administrators, and school staff in person. The WDE will answer any questions about the statewide assessment and will use this time to monitor test administration and/or observe test security practices.
Please review the Quality Assurance Checklist the WDE staff will use when conducting test protocol visits. The test protocol visit should be with the person who coordinates the test administration but may include other persons who are knowledgeable about all test protocols.
Thank you for providing your testing schedules. Chosen schools will be contacted prior to the visit.
