This application is for any Wyoming educator interested in participating in the WY-ALT Content Alignment Review Committee meeting set for October 17, 2019 in Cheyenne. Travel and lodging reimbursements will be offered to committee members who travel 50 or more miles one way to Little America Hotel and Resort in Cheyenne. All applications submitted by 11:59 p.m. on September 27, 2019, will be considered.

WY-TOPP K-2 SCORING FAQ

This summer, an educator committee convened to review assessment data from the WY-TOPP K-2 Spring Interim assessments, in order to establish a progress indicator - or cut score - to help illustrate whether students are on track to proficiency when they reach the end of grade 3. The WY-TOPP K-2 Interim Assessments FAQ provides information around these early assessments, answers commonly asked questions, and provides the cut scores for the 2019 K-2 Spring Interim assessments, found on the last page of the FAQ.


LEADING SCHOOLS FOR MULTILINGUAL LEARNER/ENGLISH LEARNER ACHIEVEMENT WORKSHOP

Riverton Public Library Community Center                              1330 West Park Ave                                                                Riverton, WY *                                                                              8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Topics addressed will include:

  • EL Educational Policies;
  • Instructional Leadership; and,
  • collaborative relationships between students, teachers, families, and data teams.  

Participants will also engage in interactive tasks related to equitable instruction for multilingual learners, discussions and reflections, video analysis, and action planning.

2019-2020 ACCESS FOR ELLs PUBLICATIONS

WIDA Manuals Now Available In The Resource Library And Secure Portal

The ACCESS for ELLs Test Administrator Manual and District and School Test Coordinator Manuals are now available in the WIDA Download Library. The 2019-20 Accessibility and Accommodations Supplement is also available and can be found in the Resource Library on the WIDA website.

Thursday, September 19, 1-2 p.m. MDT: WIDA MODEL Overview: A webinar for District Test Coordinators and Test Administrators. You'll learn how the WIDA MODEL fits into WIDA’s Assessment System and how its use as an interim assessment can provide the data needed to support English learners throughout the school year. Useful resources will be shared and the differences between the WIDA MODEL Paper and WIDA MODEL Online be explained.

Tuesday, September 24, 10-11 a.m. MDT: Pre-Testing: ACCESS for ELLs for Test Administrators: This webinar will provide information on preparing to administer the WIDA ACCESS for ELLs assessment with an opportunity for questions.

Thursday, September 26, Noon-1 p.m. MDT: Pre-Testing: ACCESS for ELLs for District Test Coordinators: A webinar for District Test Coordinators to provide how-to information on Creating WIDA user accounts, monitoring test administrator training completion, and using WIDA AMS as a District Test Coordinator.


NEW WY-ALT PARTICIPATION CRITERIA GUIDANCE DOCUMENT

Special Educators, General Educators, Principals, Directors of Special Education, Parents, Related Service Providers, Other IEP Team Members

In the spring of 2019, a committee of special educators, related service providers, parents, and administrators met to review and update the WY-ALT Participation Criteria Guidance Document. This webinar will provide an overview of the updated document, explain how IEP teams can use it to make assessment decisions, and answer questions about the WY-ALT assessment.
