Wyoming Humanities offers Spark grants up to $2,000 for projects that explore the state’s histories, stories, issues, and connections between groups and communities.
Grant requirements include that the project is humanities-centered and built around a public event.

The Wyoming Arts Alliance will host a day of educational art events. The day will provide opportunities to gather and learn about important arts issues with Wyoming art organization leaders, community developers, and artists.
Registration includes a free one-year individual membership in the Wyoming Arts Alliance.

The Wyoming Arts Council announced a call for public art for the University of Wyoming's new Science Initiative Building, due to open in 2021.
A Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is open through the state's Art in Public Buildings program. A review committee would like to see artwork that encompasses the theme of education, specifically participatory education and active learning.

The Wyoming State Museum offers virtual programs for classrooms able to access Skype, Skype for Business, Google Hangouts and related platforms.
Programs may be customized and offered in conjunction with use of the Museum’s Discovery Trunks.

The Wyoming Association of Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police is seeking an adult leader at a school or youth-serving organization to oversee a Wyoming Youth Coalition in each county.
The goal is to build a statewide peer-to-peer movement of youth dedicated to having an impact on schools and communities through events and innovative communications raising awareness of issues including substance abuse, impaired driving, vaping, bullying, making positive choices and other issues the youth identify.
Each coalition will be eligible for a $1,000 grant in both the spring and fall semesters ($2,000 total).

The Wyoming Geographic Alliance will host a free two-day training as part of the National Geographic Initiative on Geo-Inquiry.
Audubon Rockies and Wyoming Game & Fish will offer biodiversity lessons. Digital Wyoming Student Atlas training on indigenous tribes are offered along with lessons on the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem.

National Geographic's Geo-Inquiry Process is an instructional strategy that helps students develop the attitudes, skills, knowledge, and tools of a geographer.
The online course Connecting the Geo-Inquiry Process to your Teaching Practice provides an in-depth look at the process and concrete guidance on implementing it with your students.

The National Geographic Society will host a summer institute for middle school teachers, July 15-20, 2019 at the Jackson Campus of the Teton Science Schools.
National Geographic will train selected educators to be facilitators of in-person outreach and professional development for National Geographic Educator Certification and the Geo-Inquiry Process.
The Society will cover the cost of food, accommodations and transportation. Each educator will receive a $600 stipend. Contact educatornetwork@ngs.org with questions.

The National Geographic Educator Certification Program seeks to inspire PK-12 educators to teach students about the world in innovative and interdisciplinary ways. The next course will run January 14 through March 31 and is self-paced. The course takes 15-20 hours to complete.
You will have the opportunity to connect to inspiring educators, develop skills that will add depth and meaning to your teaching, and create a final project.

The Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute will provide week-long sessions or three-day themed seminars this July and August.
Participants will be immersed in an interdisciplinary approach to teaching social studies with American history as the focus.

This free program, hosted by Mount Vernon, integrates top scholarship in history and civics with applicable classroom pedagogy and immersive experiences related to George Washington and the 18th century world he lived in.
The five-day program focuses on the relevance of history and civics to student lives today. Themes include government, business, women’s history, leadership, slavery, and military history.
The organization is specially interested in recruiting more applicants from Wyoming as scholarships set aside for our state went unused this past year.

The Presidential Innovation Award for Environmental Educators recognizes outstanding K-12 teachers who employ innovative approaches to environmental education and use the environment as a context for learning for their students. Up to two teachers from each of EPA's 10 regions will be selected to receive this award.
Teacher awardees will receive a plaque and up to $2,500 to be used to further the recipient's professional development in environmental education.

The Joint Institute for Nuclear Astrophysics-Center for the Evolution of the Elements (JINA-CEE) offers a free Physics of Atomic Nuclei (PAN) summer camp.
High school students will learn about scientific research in nuclear astrophysics as well as the impact of nuclear science and its applications for society through their own experiments.

Vernier Software & Technology will recognize one middle school and one high school instructor who creatively use Vernier sensors to introduce engineering concepts or engineering practices. This may be in conjunction with Vernier’s Logger Pro software, NI LabVIEW software, LEGO NXT, VEX, or any other system incorporating Vernier sensors.
Each award will consist of $1,000 in cash, $3,000 in Vernier technology, and $1,500 toward expenses to attend either the NSTA STEM conference or the ASEE conference.

American Chemical Society-Hach High School Chemistry Classroom Grants support ideas that enhance classroom learning, foster student development, and reveal the wonders of chemistry.
Teachers can request up to $1,500 for their ideas.

Graduating high school seniors can represent Wyoming at the 2019 National Youth Science Camp.
This no-cost, month-long experience includes lectures and hands-on research projects presented by scientists from across the nation, backcountry adventure trips, and a visit to Washington D.C.
Delegates must demonstrate superior academic proficiency in mathematics and science, exhibit leadership abilities, be involved in the community and enjoy challenging themselves in the areas of biological and physical sciences.

Nominate a teacher for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). This year's awards will honor science (including computer science), technology, engineering and/or mathematics teachers in grades 7-12.
Minimum of five years full-time employment in K-12 as math or science teacher is required.
