FUSION TO BE PHASED OUT BY DECEMBER 31

Breaking News

New Directory Implementation Scheduled for December 10, 2018

The Fusion Portal will be Phased Out by December 31

The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) will move over to its new active directory (WyEd) on December 10, and the WDE Fusion portal will be phased out by December 31.  Over the next two weeks, applications and confidential data reports that are currently housed in the Fusion portal will be moved to the Data and Reporting  page of the WDE website. Changes will be relayed to districts via the Data and Technology newsletter as they occur.

People who currently have Fusion User accounts can start to activate their new WyEd accounts the week of December 3.  WyEd Users will need their WISER IDs and a verification code to login to their new accounts. These numbers and an instructional video will be made available on the home page of the Fusion website  December 3. Once logged in, the WyEd User will be required to read and accept the Acceptable Use Policy (click the button below to read the AUP) and be prompted to change their password. After your account is set up your user name will be either your primary email or WISER ID.  WISER IDs will be required if a user has forgotten their password and is attempting to update it.

On December 10, Fusion credentials will be retired for all applications except the WDE Fusion Portal.  WyEd login credentials will be required to login to all WDE applications (SRM, DCS, DirectCert, WyCTE, etc.) and confidential data reports.  WISER IDs and verification codes will be available in the Fusion portal until the end of December.

SAME DASHBOARDS, NEW NAME

WyEd-Fi Logo

For those who are already familiar with the Wy-Fi dashboards, please be advised that Wy-Fi will now be known as WyEd-Fi.

The WyEd-Fi Dashboards now offer new online self-paced training videos from within the system.

Highlight Feature: Watch Lists

Users can create their own customized watch lists with students. The easy-to-use and free WyEd-Fi Dashboards empower educators with a complete and intuitive view of every student, classroom, and school. WyEd-Fi combines student data from your student information system with assessment data from the WDE. Watch Lists are just one of the many unique features that allow you to customize a group of students you’d like to monitor. Some of the top uses include:

  • Group and track students struggling in specific areas (WY-TOPP Math/Reading, attendance, discipline, grades, college and career readiness, etc.).
  • Group and track students in areas needing a bigger challenge to remain interested.
  • Develop and track individual student growth and progress in a more efficient manner.

Don’t have the WyEd-Fi Dashboards in your district yet? Contact Jeremy Thigpen jthigpen@espsg.com to set up a demo, or get started on the implementation process.
