INDIVIDUAL ENGLISH LEARNER PLAN (IELP) FORM

The Individual English Learner Plan template was initially shared during the May 24 EL and Title III Quarterly Webinar. WDE stated that we would provide more information on areas that might be required versus best practices that could be used at districts discretion. For assessment purposes, IELP teams must ensure that any supports that the student receives during statewide assessments are appropriately documented. Follow this link to an optional IELP form that districts may use to document student supports, goals, meetings, interventions, etc. The information in Section 5 of the form is required for assessment administration. Documentation may be stored electronically or on paper. If a district currently has a process/form in place, it may continue to use it as long as the same information, as required in Section 5 of the WDE template, is collected.  

The fillable IELP form is also located on the WDE Website under: For Educators > Content & Performance Standards > English Learners > Resources.


EL MONITORING - WDE684 DATA COLLECTION

The deadline to correct end-of-year May/June 684 Data Collection errors is July 13, 2018.

We are at the end of the 17-18 school year, and WDE is collecting final information on the WDE684. This data collection provides WDE information for accountability. It also defines the number of students in subpopulations. The number of Active ELs and those students on Monitor Status in each school, district, and the entire state are checked after all districts have submitted their data. WDE will then create an error report of information that is not accurate and districts are required to correct their data in a timely manner. WDE appreciates the time districts spend on making sure the WDE684 data is correct.


WY-TOPP SYSTEMS CLOSING AND OPENING DATES

Please see the upcoming closing dates of the AIR Systems for the 2017-2018 WY-TOPP administration.

  • June 15 - The Modular Previewing System and the remaining Modular tests will close.
  • June 18 - Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) will close.
  • June 22 - AIR Ways Reporting will close.

These are the opening dates for the AIR Systems for the 2018-2019 WY-TOPP administration.

  • August 20 - Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE), AIR Ways Reporting, and TA Certification will open.
  • August 31 - The Online Reporting System (ORS) will open.
  • September 4 - The Test Delivery System (TDS), Modular Previewing System, and Modular tests will open.
