WORKKEYS UPDATES

WorkKeys

The 2017-2018 ACT WorkKeys testing window is April 17, 2018 - May 1, 2018.

The ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate® assessments and credential will be updated to ensure ongoing relevance and alignment to the changing skill requirements of today’s jobs. The updated assessments will continue to measure the same core set of broadly relevant career readiness skills that have historically been measured by the assessments.

As part of the new ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate assessment, you can expect the following key changes:

  • The updated assessments will be delivered on a new and improved assessment delivery platform
  • Certificated will become available to national users in PDF format at no additional cost
  • Spanish translation will become available to national users
  • New branding of assessment names and improvements

ACT ASPIRE PORTAL

Individual Student Reports (ISR) and all aggregate-level reporting for schools and districts are available for access in the ACT Aspire Portal.

For detailed instructions on accessing various reports via the ACT Aspire Portal, please refer to the ACT Aspire Portal User Guide (pages 109-118).

For support, please contact ACT Aspire Customer Service at 888.802.7502.

The Aspire Portal will close on October 15, 2017.

SURVEY: ACT DATES

We are still collecting responses to the ACT Test Date survey. To prepare for the 2017-2018 ACT administration, we need each campus to choose a testing window. It is okay if we receive multiple submissions for one campus. The survey will be open throughout the summer.

REGISTER: WIDA ONLINE SCREENER TRAINING

Two options have been confirmed for a one-day in-person training for the new WIDA Online Screener. The confirmed dates are September 19th and 21st with one training tentatively slotted to take place in the Casper area and the other in the Rock Springs/Green River area. As with all WIDA trainings/PDs, there will be no registration cost. These trainings will only cover the Online version and not the Paper version.

As a reminder, the W-APT screener will be officially discontinued for grades 1-12 on January 1, 2018. The Fall semester will be a transitional time during which both the W-APT and the Online Screener can be used for grades 1-12. No changes will occur for Kindergarten screening. Due to this change, training will be necessary for educators who screen potential EL students in grades 1-12.

Please note that WIDA Screener training can also be done anytime on-demand through the WIDA site, for both the Paper and Online versions. For those who prefer a more hands-on approach with a chance to ask any questions directly to a WIDA expert, these trainings will be a great opportunity to learn about Online administration of the new screener.
