New Videos Feature Wyoming Dietitian and other WY Beef Council News


Meet Kristin Altoff Russell, a Wyoming Dietitan who LOVES beef.

What does a registered dietitian do?  Ours jumps into lakes, loves to travel, hikes and hangs off the sides of cliffs.  She's also passionate about beef.  Every day, she helps families meet their nutrition goals with meals that include BEEF!  Kristen  who lives and works in Laramie has been working with the Wyoming Beef Council to launch several videos YouTube videos.  The videos,produced by WBC program director Kosha Olsen, introduce Kristin as a powerful beef advocate, show 10 ways to get kids to eat beef and broccoli and feature Kristin's favorite beef gyros recipe.  Take a look at what this talented and adventerous Wyoming dietitian has to say.  And subscribe to the Wyoming Beef Council channel while you're there.

Did you know...?  

WBC Audits are Annual!

Did you know that in order to stay in compliance with the federal Beef Promotion and Research Act and Order, the Wyoming Beef Council must undergo an independent financial audit annualy?   

The audit of fiscal year 2018, conducted by McGee, Hearn & Paiz, LLP., will be reviewed by the WBC at the October 26, 2018 meeting in Lander.  Audits from prior years can be found at wybeef.com or by contacting Ann Wittmann, WBC executive director at ann.wittmann@wyo.gov

The next meeting of the Wyoming Beef Council will be held October 26, 2018 at the Holiday Inn in Lander.  Wyoming Beef Council meetings are open to the public and all producers are invited to attend.  

Members will review the fiscal year 2017 independent financial audit presented by McGee, Hearn & Paiz, LLP.  Additionally, Abigail Boudewyns, WBC legal counsel will present board member training.  Traiining on fiduciary responsibility, coflict of interest, ethics, discrimination and other potential legal issues facing boards and commissions occurs annually.
