The Beef Checkoff has for years fought the battle to educate consumers and health professionals about Beef's body benefits on a state and national level. In fact, this week, the Oklahoma Beef Council is hosting a nationally-known health nutrition speaker at the Oklahoma Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics annual convention as part of those efforts. To learn more about how the Beef Checkoff works to tell the nutrition story, take a minute to watch this video with Dr. Shalene McNeill, Executive Director, Human Nutrition Research for NCBA, a contractor to the Beef Checkoff. She provides science-based facts about the value of beef in the diet and discusses how your beef checkoff invests in nutrition research to understand beef's role in health for everyone from infants to aging adults. She also discusses the upcoming challenges the Beef Checkoff faces on behalf of America's farming and ranching families.
