August 2017
WBC creates Great American Eclipse Burger
The Wyoming Beef Council has created a quick, easy beef recipe in honor of the once-in-a-lifetime solar eclipse passing overhead on August 21. The secret, of course, is in the sauce preparation. Grill your burgers to 160 degrees. On the bottom half of the bun, layer your favorite sauces for hamburgers. We used mayo, honey mustard, and spicy ketchup. Then, using a toothpick, draw from the center of the bun outward to mingle the sauces and create a "ring of fire." When the burger is placed in the middle of the bun, the colorful sauces create a beautiful corona surrounding the beef.
