Boscobel-Area Badger 5 Jackpot Claimed

Blue River man amazed by win

MADISON, Wis. Blue River man Bruce Welsh had only one way to describe how he felt about his Badger 5 jackpot win: "I'm amazed." With the numbers 8-17-26-28-29, Welsh won half of Sunday's $80,000 jackpot. Welsh is a regular lottery player and purchased the winning ticket at The Port – Blue River (14750 State Hwy 60) in Blue River.

The other Badger 5 $40,000 jackpot winning ticket was sold by Midland Services Station (101 Wilderness Dr.) in Mellen

Retailers who sold the tickets will receive an incentive of two percent of the prize amounts.

The odds of winning the Badger 5 jackpot is 1 in 169,911. Badger 5 is drawn daily after 9 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9 p.m. to be included in that day's drawing.
