Wisconsin Lottery Selected as Finalist

2019 National Council on Problem Gambling Annual Awards finalists announced

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Lottery has been selected as a finalist for the 2019 National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) Annual Award. Finalists were chosen based on their outstanding contributions in the field of problem gambling and responsible gaming.

"We are honored to be recognized nationally for our commitment to problem gambling awareness," said Wisconsin Lottery Director Cindy Polzin.

The Lottery is a finalist for its Superhero poster "When It Stops Feeling Super," developed by Creative Marketing Resources, Inc., which provides Wisconsinites with problem gambling help information. This piece is for display at over 3,500 Lottery retail locations and at problem gambling counseling centers throughout the state.

This year’s award recipients will be announced on Friday, July 19, at the NCPG Annual Awards Ceremony during the 33rd National Conference in Denver, CO.

The Lottery has also been recognized at the state level, winning the 2018 Wisconsin Council on Problem Gambling (WCPG) Outstanding Achievement Award for providing excellence in services, resources, and long-term devotion to problem gamblers and the growth of the Council. The Lottery has partnered with WCPG for more than a decade, committing over $3.25 million to responsible gaming education.
