Gov. Evers, First Lady Share Thanksgiving Message

MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers and First Lady Kathy Evers today celebrated Thanksgiving with a video message, commending Wisconsinites grit and resilience throughout the events of the last two years, especially after the tragedy in the city of Waukesha on Sunday, and sharing thanks for the ability to spend cherished time with loved ones this year.
The governor and first lady’s video message can be found on the governor’s YouTube channel, and a transcript of the message is available below.
Hey folks, Governor Tony Evers here.

And I’m First Lady Kathy Evers.

We wanted to take a moment today to wish each of you a happy Thanksgiving.

After the last two years we’ve faced together, we are more thankful than ever to spend time with our loved ones and to celebrate safely.

We’re also incredibly grateful for the grit and resilience of our neighbors and our communities who helped us get through these tough times.

We hope you have the chance this holiday to cherish all the things each of us have to be thankful for.

I’m especially thankful today for the strength Wisconsinites have shown over the last few years and know that because of that, we are going to bounce back better than ever.

To all those gathering today and into this weekend, we wish you a joyful and safe holiday.

Stay safe, Wisconsin.

Happy Thanksgiving!
