Project Status
Supplier Readiness Series
The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) has announced the "Supplier Readiness Series: Foxconn and Beyond" as a next step for Wisconsin suppliers to get involved in the Foxconn project. Workshops in Waukesha, Platteville, Racine, Green Bay, and Madison regions are currently open for registration. A workshop is being planned for the Superior area.
Designed to prepare Wisconsin suppliers for the opportunities presented by Foxconn's investment, this series will provide attendees with an introduction to the vendor readiness process that the company will follow. A Foxconn representative will attend each session and provide an overview of their vendor criteria, as well as details on how manufacturers can become part of the company's anticipated $4.26 billion supply chain - with roughly one-third being sourced from Wisconsin.

Road Updates
I-94 North-South
Project Update
Travelers
will see a lot of activity throughout the next several weeks. Bridge girder
delivery is underway for the I-94 southern and central work zones. In total, 520 Wisconsin-made girders will be installed from Spancrete in Green Bay and County Materials in Janesville. Many of the
girders will be placed without major impacts to freeway traffic, but stay alert
in and around the work zone for short-term flagging operations.
Work is beginning on the north segment between County G and
College Avenue. This project will reconstruct and expand 7.5 miles of I-94 as
well as construct a new modernized, full interchange at Elm Road. The new
interchange will replace existing freeway connections at 27th Street,
which are scheduled for permanent closure this fall.
