New Bureau Director of Infrastructure Services

Terri O

Meet the new Director of the Bureau of Infrastructure Support, Terri Oliversen. Terri has supported the Bureau in the Assistant Director role since 2016. She has over 25 years of experience being an analyst, data specialist, technical consultant, and IT leader. Her knowledge of the private sector, being at an agency, and the work within different bureaus at DOA have given her the breadth and vision to be able to deliver optimized IT resources and services to Wisconsin.

"I am excited about the path to excellence the BIS team is on. I value the technical expertise and dedication our team provides each and every day, and I’m committed to continue supporting those efforts with staff and our DET strategic partners."

Windows 10 Rollout

Windows 10 Logo

DET is preparing to rollout Windows 10 for DOA. This summer, the Windows 10 project team led by Matthew Michel and Eric Ford, will be working with DOA teams to figure out the first deployment targets.  The expectation is that low-risk users such as management and new employees will be the first to receive the new operating system. As testing completes and the team resolves issues, staff will be able to obtain Windows 10 either via Service Request or when receiving a new PC. The project team will make an announcement when Windows 10 is available for general DOA use.

We are also planning to produce a Windows 10 website in July of 2018. The site will have a FAQ, deployment status summary, and the latest Windows 10 documentation.

New Webpage for EIAM Self Service

On June 11, 2018, the Division of Enterprise Technology deployed a new State of Wisconsin - Employee Identity Access Management (EIAM) self-service webpage. This webpage is used to manage your IAM account and password, which are most commonly used to sign on to Enterprise Email and the STAR portal. The new Employee Identity Access Management (EIAM) self-service webpage is: https://eiam.wisconsin.gov and is replacing the Identity Access Management(IAM) webpagehttps://iam.wisconsin.gov.

It is important for you to complete your enrollment in the new system before August 31, 2018. When you enroll, you will be asked to select 5 new Challenge Questions and to answer a Shared Secret Question and Answer. The Shared Secret Question and Answer is used by your agency IAM Security Officer(s) and agency Help Desk to confirm your identity as the owner of your account.

A detailed user guide can be found on the DET Portal home page Here.
