From Tonette, Matt, Alex,
and I – Happy Independence Day!
I hope you had the chance
to celebrate with your loved ones yesterday by attending your local parade, grilling out, or watching the fireworks!
Of course, the Fourth of
July is so much more than that. As we celebrate the birth of our great
nation, we remember that freedom is not free. It was paid for by our founders, who paved the way for our nation by fighting for our liberty, by the brave men and women who chose to serve in our U.S. Armed
Forces, and by those who continue to serve today.
We can never repay them
for their selfless sacrifice, but we can thank them from the bottom of our
hearts.
As we celebrate America’s
independence, may God bless you, your family, the State of Wisconsin, and the
United States of America.
We enjoy sharing all the great news about our state with you. It is an honor to serve as your Governor and represent the people of Wisconsin.
Sincerely,
Governor Scott Walker
