File Your PACT Act Claim by August 9th

WDVA encourages all veterans who have been exposed to toxic substances from their time in uniform to file your PACT Act claim—or quickly submit your intent to file—by August 9, 2023, as you may receive additional benefits backdated to August 10, 2022.

Thanks to the PACT Act, millions of Veterans who were exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances are now eligible for VA health care and benefits.

While there is no deadline to apply for PACT Act-related benefits, there is urgency. Most Veterans and survivors who apply for benefits or submit an “Intent to File” by August 9, if granted, will have their benefits backdated to August 10th of last year – the day that President Biden signed the PACT Act into law.

See you at the Wisconsin State Fair!

Join WDVA at the Wisconsin State Fair this year for the Veteran and Military Recognition Day on Sunday, August 6. 

A veterans resource expo will be taking place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Central Park on the fair grounds. 

The fair is offering FREE admission to all veterans, military personnel, and their family members to the Wisconsin State Fair when you simply present your Military ID (DD214, VA ID, Military Common Access Card, or dependent ID) at any ticket window on Sunday, August 6 only. Limited to four free admissions per veteran ID. This promotion runs 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on this day only. View all details on this promotion at the official state fair website.

Veterans! Save the date! The annual "Salute to Veterans" game and tailgate at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison is set for Saturday, November 11, 2023.

The official sign-up website for the veteran ticket lottery to receive complimentary veteran tickets to this game will open up on Monday, September 11, at www.wisvetssports.com.
