Wisconsin's Veteran Service Organization Leaders meet with Secretary-designee Bond
Secretary-designee James Bond recently met with the leadership of several of Wisconsin's large veteran service organizations, including the Veteran of Foreign Wars (VFW), American Legion, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), AMVETS of Wisconsin, and the National Association for Black Veterans (NABVETS).
His message to all of them was reaffirming WDVA's commitment to working together and delivering for our veterans and their families.
"No one can do this alone. We need each other," said Secretary-designee Bond.
These meetings also gave an opportunity for discussing how these key partnerships can work together to continually deliver veterans programs and services, supporting veteran employment, and addressing veteran mental health needs, which includes suicide prevention and homelessness.
"My top priority is strengthening the relationships DVA has with all stakeholders. It’s not only my top priority, but also the priority of every one of my leadership team at WDVA," said Bond.
