Holiday Wreaths Laid at All Three Wisconsin Veterans Cemeteries

Hundreds of volunteers braved the frigid and snowy weather on Saturday, December 17, 2016 to lay holiday wreaths at the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs three veterans memorial cemeteries - King, Spooner, and Union Grove - as part of Wreaths Across America, a national initiative to honor and remember our nation’s veterans by decorating graves.

At our Central Wisconsin cemetery, every single veteran's marker received a wreath - all 6,942! In addition, hundreds of extra wreaths that were donated to the King cemetery are being transported to be placed on markers at the Union Grove cemetery, which is the fifth largest veterans cemetery in the country.

A huge thank to the American Legion Riders WI District 8 and the Civil Air Patrol for organizing these wonderful events at our cemeteries.

Check the WDVA flickr page to see more pictures of the beautiful wreaths laid at our Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Or check us out on Facebook.

In 2015, the Worcester Wreath Company, through the campaign Wreaths Across America and their national network laid more than 901,000 wreaths at 1,108 locations in all 50 states and overseas.
