Powell Marsh State Wildlife Area - master plan public listening session

Public Listening Session Planned for Powell Marsh State Wildlife Area

The public will have an additional opportunity to provide input prior to a DNR planning team starting to draft recommendations for the property’s future. A “listening session” will be held on Oct. 29 from 6:30 until 9 p.m. in the Manitowish Waters Town Hall, Highway 51 and Airport Road, Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin. DNR administrators and Natural Resources Board members seek to hear the public’s thoughts and ideas about the current and future management of the Wildlife Area.

The conceptual management alternatives and other initial planning documents, including maps of the property, can be viewed by searching for “master planning” on the DNR website dnr.wi.gov and then clicking on Powell Marsh Wildlife Area.
