Safe Drinking Water Loan Program State Fiscal Year 2026 Final Intended Use Plan Published
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR)'s Environmental Loans Section published the final State Fiscal Year 2026 Safe Drinking Water Loan Program Intended Use Plan on the Project Lists and Intended Use Plans webpage on Sept. 5, 2025.
The final intended use plan will be amended once the federal fiscal year 2025 lead service line capitalization grant allocations are released by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Background Information
This intended use plan identifies how federal capitalization grant monies will be used and describes how the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program will operate during the state fiscal year 2026 funding cycle.
The DNR publishes each draft intended use plan for public comment prior to finalization. The final intended use plan is included in the DNR's federal capitalization grant application to the EPA.
