Reminder: Environmental Loans Online Systems Are Live With MyWisconsin ID!
This message is a reminder that you must now use your MyWisconsin ID to log in to DNR Environmental Loans Online Systems, which are used to apply for Clean Water Fund Program and Safe Drinking Water Loan Program financial assistance. You will be prompted to verify your identity with the email, password and multi-factor authentication (MFA) option you selected during the MyWisconsin ID self-registration process.
Please do not wait until June 30, 2025, the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program application submittal deadline, to set up a MyWisconsin account or request access to the online application system via the DNR Switchboard. Access requests received within 48 hours of the application submittal deadline cannot be accommodated.

Tips For Successful Registration

Registration is time-sensitive. Once the base information is entered, the MyWisconsin ID registration must be completed within 2 hours (including MFA setup). Accounts that are not completely set up are automatically deleted every 2 hours. If you were unable to complete all registration steps (verify email, create a password, enroll in at least one MFA method) in one sitting, please wait 2 hours and then start the registration process over.

No shared accounts. If you share a WAMS ID that you did not create, you will need a new MyWisconsin ID to log in to the Environmental Loans Online Systems. Do not link your new MyWisconsin ID to any previous WAMS ID that you did not create. A specific MyWisconsin ID is for an individual person, not a facility or company and should NEVER be used by others. Because MFA is used, a MyWisconsin account cannot be shared with others – all users must have their own account.
Note: Some state systems will transition to using MyWisconsin ID sooner than others. In the meantime, you may need a WAMS ID for some systems and a MyWisconsin ID for others.
Other Features Available With MyWisconsin ID
Along with secure access to participating online state services and systems, MyWisconsin ID allows you to:
- Reset your password directly from the login page.
- Change your password once logged in.
- Update your password recovery options.
- Unlock your account.
- Update your MFA preferences.

Update Bookmarks
After the Environmental Loans Online Systems transferred to MyWisconsin ID, the access links to the online loan systems changed. These links have been updated on the DNR Environmental Loans Section's Online Systems webpage. You may need to update your bookmarks to these systems. If your WAMS account is saved as a bookmark, you will see a redirect link that will take you to the DNR Switchboard webpage. The Environmental Loans Online Systems redirect link will be removed after July 31, 2025.
