Coming Soon- New Log-In Process Replacing WAMS ID
The DNR will move from WAMS to a new identity system called MyWisconsin ID to enhance security features through enforcing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for the Drinking Water System Submittal Portal which is used for Electronic Monthly Operating Reports (EMOR) and Optimal Water Quality Parameters (OWQP).
What Is MyWisconsin ID? The State of Wisconsin is moving toward a single personal account for each customer to ensure private access to participating Wisconsin government systems.
With one personalized email-based ID, access to many state agency systems will be streamlined with a single sign-on solution where available.
The timeline in this message only applies to the Drinking Water System Submittal Portal, which allows you to enter Electronic Monthly Operating Reports and Optimal Water Quality Parameters. Some state systems will transition to using MyWisconsin ID sooner than others. In the meantime, a WAMS ID may be needed for some systems, while a MyWisconsin ID will be needed for others.
What Do I Need To Do? Additional GovDelivery emails will be sent out to communicate updates about the transition. Eventually we will ask you to self-register for a MyWisconsin ID account.
When Will The Transition Occur? The MyWisconsin ID and MFA rollout for Electronic Monthly Operating Reports and Optimal Water Quality Parameters will occur around May 2025. The timing of this system’s move to MyWisconsin ID and MFA may be adjusted as needed.
Temporary Switchboard Change Because DNR switchboard applications are migrating to MyWisconsin ID at different times through December 2026, you will need to determine whether you should log in through MyWisconsin ID or WAMS.
On the Switchboard webpage, look for the bullet point with the system you want to log into. It will either be located under the section that indicates you should sign in through MyWisconsin ID or WAMS.
If users previously bookmarked the WAMS page, you may see a link redirecting you to the switchboard page. These changes are temporary until all DNR systems have migrated to MyWisconsin ID.
